Saba Mehboob, 21, was shot in her mother's house in Rawalpindi on September 3. Her killer then took her sixteen year old brother for 21 hours. He is out on bail. The boy is in a police station.
Saba Mehboob was twenty one. She had two daughters and a husband she had left, and for the past year she had been living again in her mother's house in Dhoke Ratta, a crowded neighborhood of Rawalpindi. At about nine on the night of Thursday, September 3, a neighbor named Adnan Butt walked into that house with a pistol.
Her stepbrother Anoosh, sixteen, was in the room with two of his uncles. Butt pointed the gun at the uncles and told them to leave. They left. He slapped Saba, again and again, shouting that she had dishonored him. Then he shot her once in the forehead. She died where she stood.
